"My father had the pleasure of buying the incredible Millers Hall building in the 1980, which was one of the oldest and most historic buildings in Lawrence. This building has hosted abolitionist strategic meetings with John Brown and the activism activity of the 9th street Baptist church, as well as surviving the fires of Quantrill's raid. I have been stewarding this property in my fathers stead and want to do right by its historic importance and vintage beauty. When I found that our 1870’s original tin ceiling was in danger of imminent collapse under the pressure of thousands of pounds of broken bits of horse-hair plaster, I was so distraught and intimidated by undertaking its repair. Enter CBC and their skilled crew who diligently pulled down every tile and nail to clear a hundred and fifty years of debris and place it back so beautifully it looked virtually untouched. "In 2018, we were looking for someone to help us figure out how to fix a design flaw in our kitchen. We had a couple of other companies come out to give an estimate, but we couldn’t get past their most pressing question: what was our budget?
